Getting Started
Before anything, you must obtain a Trained Dog first.
From Vanilla Wolves/Dogs to Trained Dogs
Use a Training Treat to train your first Doggo!
This is the standard way to get your Trained Dog. A vanilla wolf is required (or one of the variants of DTN Palette of Paws).
You can obtain them as usual in the game by feeding a wild wolf some bones until its texture changes and heart particles appear. (DTN 1.18.0+): You can now directly convert an untamed wolf into a Trained Dog with a Training Treat.
Right click the vanilla wolf/dog you want to train and feed it a Training Treat.
It now turns into a DTN Trained Dog!
Accessing the Dog Menu
To begin interacting with your dog, Right-click the Dog anytime with a Stick. From there you can start customizing your dog by naming, adjusting your dog mode, etc.
