Weekly Announcements – July 7th to 13th
Good timezone everyone!
It's been a very full week on the server - and when I say full, I mean bursting-at-the-seams levels of busy. From mod tweaks to nations etups, from bug hunts to spawn rebuilds, the staff have been going nonstop. If you've noticed us all blinking slowly in VC or answering things in half-sentences...now you know why.
Let's break it down day by day:
Changes This Week
Monday 7th July
- Apeaceful Monday...not a single update. The calm before the week-long storm.
Tuesday 8th July
- Solar added signs at spawn to remind everyone: no origin changes for july!
- Shewolf cleaned house: Archived old revamp channels, renamed "revamp updates" to "modpack updates" and archived modpack changelogs.
- The illager/villager vampire spam was yeeted from the datapack thanks to Shewolf
- Flyvee helped someone flesh out their RP character
- Redstone was removed from the Photosynthetic enchant recipe - it's now slightly less crunchy
- Shewolf created new warps: /warp covers jail, nationhall, library, evetns and docshops
- New nation alert: Church of Rebirth was added
- AFK time reset to 5 mins. Later changed again
- Player max limit reset to 25.
- Lankaster set default max enchantments to 6
- MrJingles worked on tickets and made a poll
- MrJingles also updated and prepped the "The End" video for premiere
- Karma was re-added to the console.
- Silstice and Bisect restart schedules changed to every 3 hours
- Shewolf later re-upped hte AFK to 10 mins.
Wednesday 9th July
- Lankaster may have fixed the origin console spam. Confidence 50%
- Soalr removed the origin signs from spawn
- Lankaster cleaned up disabled enchants and confirmed no datapack implosion via single player
- Rock Collecting enchant recipe no longer requires half the mountain
- Hybrid aquatic now eats its proper fish
- Old enchant junk removed from the precious datapack
- Jingles replaced the in-game god books
- New + old god books archived in the library
- Cira made an announcement on origin changes and did some herself
- Shewolf updated branding: Patreon and Youtube are now "Shewolf's Origoins"
Thursday 10th July
- Grappling hook added to the Obliterator. YOINK
- Karma did 2 origin changes
- Jingles reverted Vampire to an older, pillager-friendly version
- Raccoon was reverted too
- Karma was added to the in-game staff list
- "Fragile" removed from Siren (it's emotionally stable now)
- Origins list updated to match all these changes
- Shewolf fixed discord tickets to ping the right teams
- Solar added a second restart schedule
- Shewolf fixed dozens of enchant recipes that had... five ingredients? Who let that happen?
- Shewolf updated the Discord Important Links/Resources channel
- Neruina was added to the server
- Death Log installed
- Donators now properly have 5 homes
- Waterside nation set up, along with a new shop
- Tablist order mystery solved: the mod was deleted. Whoops.
- Tablist fix tried. Server exploded. Tablist fix removed.
- Karma did another origin change
- Karma made the library shop block openable
- First-ever lore book submitted placed in a lectern!
- Jingles added Abyrion and Starhaven Nations
- Shewolf made TP reqest colours stand out more
Friday 11th July
- Solar announced the Lootr refresh
- Karma helped Shewolf with nation setup and made 2 shops
- Shewolf's enchant fix broke things. Lankaster found a rogue comma. Fixed and restored.
- Phantom burning issue fixed - it had the wrong entity type
- Phasing description updated to reflect that deepslate is unphasable
- Sire triden dupe "Hopefully finally" patched
- Server backups set to run every 12 hours
- Bisect applied backend fixes for TPS improvement
- Another new nation + 2 more shops added by Shewolf
- Shewolf fixed rule-based quests
- Visitors can no longer jailbreak others. Sorry, chaotic good players
Saturday 12th July
- BBB Blocks added to the obliterator - they were crash-happy
- Karma removed the cursed BBB deepslate block
- Karma updated the shop spreadhseet and sent mail to low-stock owners. Also opened another shop.
- Jail doors added to the unphasable list. No more ghost escapes
- Giants "Big Glutes" description was updated.
- Crow origin was removed and announced
- Cage item config was reworked
- Karma set up yet another shop
- Jingles fixed the Ersara shrine secret
- Shewolf re-did event stall shop signs to ban edits + mailed owners
- Cira handled more origin changes
Sunday 13th July
- Lankaster submitted a bug report about a glitch
- Jingles added the newly disabled enchants to the server's disable tag
- Player and mob heads were added
- Cira, Flyvee, Jingles and Lankaster helped rebuild spawn after Azuris dropped a gionat monumnet on it. Spawn go boom.
- Shewolf adgusted enchanting quests
- Shewolf did two origin changes and redid the rotating staff task schedule
- Bee origin had its arthropod power removed - it was redundant with another power
- Phantom disc drop rate lowered to 10%
- Staff tutorial "How to set up a nation" was created
- Shewolf did two more origin changes and created another nation
- Auroris, Axuris and Pyrelis loot boxes were made
- Flight restriction armour list was updated
- Karma opened three new shops
- Jingles updated nation info, disabled structure spawning for one player, removed lootr chests from another build
- Karma returned Shewolf's dogs to her shrine
