How to Start a Nation Conflict

2 min read

This page walks you through how to safely, fairly and respectfully start a conflict between Nations. Whether that’s a one-time skirmish, a brewing rivalry or a ful war. All conflicy must be OOC-agreed (out of character), and this page helps you set it up properly.

Step 1: Propose the Conflict OOC

Start by reaching out to the Nation Leader(S) of the other Nation(s) involved. You can use:
– /mail system in game
– Nation Discord Channels
– Forum Posts
– Staff Ticket (if unsure who to contact)

Cleary explain:
– What you’re proposing (e.g., raid, duel, sabotage, war)
– Why (in-lore reason, story tension, player interest)
– What kind of RP you’re aiming for
Do not act until everyone agrees.

Step 2: Use the Conflict Proposal Template

Use this template to help formalize your idea.

Nation Conflict Proposal

Proposing Nation:
Target Nation:
Other Nations Involved (if any):

Type of Conflict:
(e.g., Raid, Duel, Skirmish, Sabotage, Lore Tension, Formal War)

Reason (In-Lore):
(What your characters believe is happening)

Reason (OOC):
(Why players want this-storyline, drama, character development, etc.)

Conflict Start Date:
Duration (If applicable):

Combat Type:
(PVP? Lore-only? Specific location? With weapons or RP-only?)

Allowed Actions:
(e.g., damage decorative builds? Steal anything? Traps allowed?)

Agreed Consequences:
(e.g., surrender terms, point loss, character impact, etc)

Staff Assistance Needed:
(Yes/No – if yes, explain what kind)

Notes/Other Expectations:

Step 3: Get Confirmation

All Nation leaders involved must agree to the proposal before anything begins. Once confirmed:
– You may procees with the roleplay
– You may use any previously agreed PvP rules
– You can loop in staff if help is needed (e.g., warzone builds, scoreboards, event timing)

Optional: Submit to Staff

You can submit the proposal to staff via ticket if:
– It affects public spaces (spawn, nation hall, event areas)
– You want help staging or moderating it
– There are high stakes

After the Conflict

Once the conflict ends:
– Update your Nation Book if needed
– Let staff know if any points or consequences should be recorded
– Consider posting a recap in the Lore Timeline
